Risky Roadz

RISKY is a well known and respected camera man and editor in the Grime scene. Having worked in Rhythm Division back in the day, he saw Smack DVD and decided that he could do his own version for the UK counterparts. He got hold of a camera and some editing software, and took the original name 'Risky Roadz' because of his tag RSKY.

RSKY decided to start filming Grime because he had come up through the garage scene listening to Pay as You Go and Nasty Crew. The original releases were Risky Roadz 1 and 2 which were the UK's fastest selling Grime dvds, and featured a whole wealth of footage on the Grime scene in general, but which were made popular due to the freestyling sections on them, most notably the Ghetto freestyle over Big Seac/Nocturnal production.

He also finished the Movement Documentary and Fuck Radio 1 DVD (first Grime dvd to make it on the shelves of HMV, ZAAVI and Play.com to name a few) as well as editing the Non Stop Working series which was produced by Slew Dem Crew.

RSKY also has a branch off of the risky roadz empire known as Rsky Media, under which all the photography and graphic design work is done. Some cover artworks include Slix / Down Vol 2, Smasher / Everything Happens for a Reason, Chain Gang / The Links are Too Strong and Ruff Sqwad / Guns and Roses Vol 1 and A.S.B / This is Me. Risky has also taken some of the most iconic pictures in grime.

If that’s not enough, there is also another branch known as Risky Roadz Recordingz where he has had 2 vinyl releases, Ruff Sqwad / Move 2 Dis and Chunky Bizzle / Nessa. Rsky also has tunes signed from Slew Dem Nocturnal and Target to name a few ready for release and has also recently released Slix Down Vol 2 under the Risky Roadz Recordingz bracket!
